[Movie Review] The Butler

Let me talk about The Butler that I won for the preview screening.

Honestly, I'm a person who more interested in action movies.
So, I don't really expect much from this movie.
However, it really surprises me.

This movie is inspired by the real-life of Eugene Allen. Forest Whitaker as Cecil Gaines, who grew up from a domestic servant till a butler in the White House by himself. Even though he got into White House and been recognized as the best butler, but due to the racist issues in the country, he and his black White House staff  always receive much lower rate of salary and opportunities for career advancement as their white counterparts.
In the other hand, there are many happenings in Cecil's family too. Cecil's wife struggles with her addiction on alcohol, his eldest son, Louis founded the Black Panthers which is a chapter of the radical organization together with few others including Louis's girlfriend, Carol and Cecil's youngest son joined American forces in the war in Vietnam.
What will happen to Cecil's family and his work in White House?
What will happen to the country and the politics?

You will never want to missed the story of The Butler. =)
