[Movie Review] Insidious: Chapter 2
As I mentioned in the previous post,
there is another movie I had watched.
Still remember the Insidious (2010)?
The supernatural events that happened in Renai and Josh's house?
and the story ended where Josh trying to save his son, Dalton from "another world",
unfortunately, Elise, the woman who specializes in the investigation of paranormal activity and trying to help them is dead. Not only that, Josh is gone and his body is replaced by other soul where Renai know it by seeing the picture took by Elise.
Now, the chapter 2 is about how Renai and Josh's mother, Lorraine save Josh back to the real life. Not only that, to save Josh, Lorraine discovered the one in Josh's body now is actually the patient named Parker Crane. He is the patient in Our Lady of Angels hospital which is the former workplace of Lorraine. Lorraine, together with the help from Elise's friend, Carl and Elise's colleagues, Specs and Tucker, they also discovered the story behind Parker and his mother. By getting more information and the deeper the know the story, they could save Josh even easier. And of course, they made it.
But...the end of a story is just the beginning of another.
Insidious, this story will not ended here.
It's to be continue...at the Chapter 3 I guess...
Overall, it does not have much shocking scene as I expected. The director, James Wan who is also the director for The Saw and The Conjuring. Maybe this is the reason why I expect more from this Insidious: Chapter 2. Anyhow, it is a nice ending for the story which continuous from Insidious. I will give 7 of 10. Good job.
